M'Lynn
Steel Magnolias
She's wonderfully sweet and loving. She gets along with everyone. She hasn't met a soul she didn't like and who she couldn't convince to like her. She's more middle of the road energy. She likes to have a friend she can be with or someone she can play with as she's not too much into entertaining herself.
She's one of the smaller females in the litter. She has the best ears that tell you everything she is thinking. She has classic facial expressions and is always willing to offer her opinion, sometimes verbally and sometimes non-verbally. She doesn't mind hanging out by herself or playing. She is one that will actually play with the cats. She gets excited when they meow at her. You can just see her trying to figure out how to meow back.

Annelle
This little gal thinks she is a cat. She gets excited when the cats come around and she is happy to leave everything aside so she can run and play with them. She is perfectly happy to play by herself or play with the whole litter. She also will gladly tell you if you have hurt her feelings. She is not shy whatsoever with her feelings and she's free to express them. Annelle loves to play with toys and will gladly take off with any toy that she finds.
Truvy
Truvy is a love bug. She really wants to be the center of someone's world and their love. She will be a wonderful companion to someone who goes hiking, camping, to the beach or where-ever as long as they want her to come too. She will entertain herself but alas there is no substitution for your love and affection. Truvy is a peace maker in the group. She will get along with everyone and happily mediates any disagreements that come along whether they be canine vs. canine or canine vs. feline. (Yes, we know Truvy's video says M'Lynn. It is Truvy. We liked the video so we kept it even though we made a mistake on the name.)
All of these precious pups are available for adoption
and are located on our "Half-Way Home" (Adoptions) page.
They were abandoned along with their Mom in a deserted rural area out of the sight of most folks. Were it not for a great bus driver who keeps her eyes and ears peeled for homeless animals, Mom and pups might never have been found in time.
This litter of Shepherd mix pups is approx. 12 weeks old. Mom is about 45-50lbs. We expect the litter to be in the 45-55lbs range. There are 5 females and 4 males to make up this wonderful group of pups. They are currently living in a foster home with kids, dogs and cats. They have learned to accept the kids who constantly want to pick them up, dress them up, put them in their cart and ride them around the yard. And tolerance extends to the cats who think they are their latest playmates. It's a crazy fun house for anyone, let alone 9 rambunctious puppies who once were left to die, but now they have a fabulous life ahead of them.
The Girls
The Boys
Drum
He's our cuddle bug. He loves to snuggle and curl up with his foster family. But don't think for a second he can't be rough and tumble too. He loves to play outside, loves to lounge in the sun and loves to have a blast playing with his siblings or the other dogs in his foster home. He's befriended the cats and enjoys hanging out with them. They're not much for playing but he understands. He's a great option for kids as well. Drum is one of the smaller males in the litter.
Jackson
Just call him the daredevil. Want a dog who will boldly go where no one else wants to go? That's him. He'll leap from anywhere, charge into any unknown, dark black cavern (ok, under the house), he'll find adventure where-ever it exists. He also is one of the calmest ones when it comes to hanging out in the house. He'll gladly come join you for TV night or a good game of scrabble. He'll sit quietly below the table or next to you on the couch. Jackson is the smallest male in the litter (at this point, which seems to change daily!). His small stature doesn't phase him at all. He says challenge is his nickname. Jackson will make the perfect jogging partner, hiking buddy, go to the beach kind of puppy. He's not intimidated by new things and he's ready for all new adventures.
Spud
Mr. Mellow. He really sees no reason to get too excited about anything. While the others go crazy over a new toy or a new adventure, he lazily joins the group as if to say, "Hey, what's the excitement..." He loves to hang out in the house. He doesn't mind playing outside but when it gets warm and the others are jumping and splashing in the pool, he heads for the indoors to lie on the cool tile floor. Spud is a lover boy. He meets and greets and makes sure he leaves a wonderful impression.
