Granola Bars
Granola (Mom) is a Brussels Griffon mix.
November 30, 2009

Granola (Mom) was the world’s greatest Mom and dog but she’s already found her fur-ever home. The Granola Bars are now looking for their homes as well. They are 8 weeks old, born on Sept. 21st. Granola was a Brussels Griffon mix who weighed about 10-12lbs. Clearly who ever Dad was he wasn’t much bigger as the pups barely weigh 2lbs but what they lack in stature, they make up in personality. Thank heavens they all seem to have gotten Mom’s fabulous personality as they love people, are friendly, sociable and outgoing. The litter was raised in a foster home with dogs, cats and kids. They were a part of every day life so they’ve heard the TV, the vacuum, the loud noises of the kids running to and fro and nothing bothers them. Heavens, they can sleep through an earthquake!

Quaker:

He’s the only smooth coated one of the litter. He has the long body much like a Dachshund and we’d guess his Daddy was a Dachshund. He’s the cutest little thing as he does sneak attacks off the top of his playbox as his siblings are dashing around trying to find him. He is a cuddler, snuggler, lover boy who loves affection.
Kudos:

He’s the lone black and tan one of the litter and he has the longest fur. It’s wild and crazy like Mom’s fur and if there is a mellow (big IF) one in the group, it’s him. He doesn’t mind hanging back while the others jump all over the kids or foster parents. He doesn’t demand attention but he’s quick to jump in mom’s lap if she calls him. He usually is somewhere in the heap if there’s a wrestling match going on. He is either the instigator or he’s the one who flops on top of the others. He loves toys!
Chewy:

He’s the first out of the bed in the morning. He’s the first to ask where breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks are if you’re not timely. He is so sweet and loving and just thinks his place in life is sitting in your lap, of course after he eats. But don’t try to detain him too long as he usually has a job to do whether it’s making sure everyone is in line or it’s starting the next round of play with his siblings. He’ll check in with foster mom all the time and just make sure she’s still around and if the family is gone all day, you’ll get to hear about it from him when you get home! Of course, all is forgiven when you pick him up and snuggle. That’s all this little guy wants in life.
Oats:

She’s the only girl in a rowdy group of boys. She knows exactly how to play it up too. She is the first one to whine and let you know she’s being picked on and it’s usually after she’s given a beat down to one of her siblings. But oh, she’s never at fault! She is so like her mom in that she wants to be with you, sit on your lap, be in the office, get and give lots of love. She’s a tiny little girl who makes you want to protect her. But don’t be too fooled. She knows every step of the way what she is doing and she knows how to reel you in…
