Donnie & Marie

Dynamic Duo, Donnie and Marie:
Donny and Marie are 14 week old Dachshund-Beagle mix puppies with the long Dachshund body and the short stubby legs. We were contacted by a groomer who became aware that they were living outside in the elements and in a home that just wanted them gone. So, we were happy to help find them their forever home and to make sure they'll never be left outside again. They were both initially shy but by placing them in a foster home where they are getting lots of love and attention they are flourishing and their individual personalities are starting to blossom.
Donny is the more mellow of the two. He will hang back and watch for a second while his adventurous sister takes charge and storms out the door! He likes to relax and sit in your lap and lounge. He does enjoy playing with the other dogs in the house and he definitely likes the cats. He thinks of them as big soft pillows! He likes the kids in the foster home as well and would make a great pet for those who are old enough to handle a small breed puppy.
Marie is friendly and outgoing and into everything. She's quite a character full of personality and spunk. She will stop for moments to be held and cuddled but she leaves more of that up to Donny. Marie loves playing with the other dogs, playing with the cats (who aren't as interested in playing) and she's great with kids.
Both pups are looking for individual homes. They will most likely blossom the most when they are separated but while they are waiting for their new homes they still have a buddy to play with!
